The Inspirational Retreat in Agoura Hills, California

Now here’s MY idea of a weekend getaway! I just heard about the Inspirational Retreat in Agoura Hills, California. It is a lovely cottage used as an art teaching space. I looked at the list of upcoming classes, and there is a wide variety of interesting choices. My friend Kelly Kilmer is teaching a class called Mixed Media Rejuvenations on February 20 & 21 (her classes are awesome!), and there are a ton of other great instructors, including the wonderful Michael deMeng. The class fees are pretty much average – definitely not outrageous. There is also a kitchen and meals are sometimes included, depending on the class. Coffee and beverages are always provided.

The cottage has a bedroom for the teacher to stay in for multi-day classes, and there is nearby Westlake Village Inn for students, at a reduced rate. This sounds like a wonderful way to spend a weekend: being creative in beautiful surroundings!
